Master Locksmith Brian Preddey, one of the founders of Preddeys Locksmiths in the early 1980,s recognised the need for a lock system which provided resistance to picking, impressioning and key duplication. As a result, Brian developed a U-shaped key operating on up to twelve tumbler pins, which in turn activate two sidebars. Known as Bilock (manufactured by Australian Lock Company at Unanderra on the South Coast) (link to www.bilock.net) this has become a world wide used locking system.
